Arts &
Letters welcomes regular submissions from September 1 to March 1.
We accept unsolicited submissions in poetry, fiction, creative
nonfiction, and dramatic work. For poetry,
submit 4-8 poems. For prose,
submit manuscripts up to 25 pages typed, double-spaced. For drama,
submit script in regular format (one-act plays only, up to 25 pages). Queries only
are encouraged for work in our “World Poetry Translation Series,” interviews
for our “Mentors Interview Series,” art work, and book reviews. Call for Submissions: We are looking for creative nonfiction
essays (memoir, personal essays, and other creative works of nonfiction) and
encourage submissions in this genre. We try to
respond within six weeks. Payment: $10 per printed page of original work
(minimum payment: $50) plus one copy of the issue in which a contributor’s
work appears and one-year subscription.
Arts & Letters is published fall and spring. Issues are usually mailed in November or
December and April or May. Please include
a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE) for return of your work or for
editorial response only. Simultaneous
submissions are acceptable as long as the editors are notified immediately if
work is accepted elsewhere. We are
sorry but we cannot accept electronic submissions. Please send all manuscripts to the address
below. Click here for information
about submitting to our annual prizes competition. Further questions can be emailed to al@gcsu.edu or addressed by phone at (478) 445-1289. |
